Ok. Ok. So I mispoke. I recalled florida state being projected to do big things projected to battle for a title and dropped the ball. So he didnt have "terrible" seasons but he didnt do what was expected of him. I mean we have 5 losses and should have had less and he had 4 losses in his first 2 years. So I guess what your saying is if we would have one less loss then you could praise hugh freeze as a god of college football. Thanks for your fact checking good sir.

My point simply is and was that there are "2 year plans" in college football. Saban and Malzone did it in the SEC, and after those "terrible" 9 and 10 win seasons that Fisher had in his first 2 years led to 12 wins after the 2nd season and 11-0 so far with a shot at a national title this year. We could have hired someone who could do that.AtlantaRebels wrote:Ok. Ok. So I mispoke. I recalled florida state being projected to do big things projected to battle for a title and dropped the ball. What does that mean? We are ole miss, so we're just gonna be mediocre? We are ole miss, so we just can't compete in this conference?AtlantaRebels wrote:Well I hope you are ready to be this mad another 50 times in your lifetime. We are ole miss. deal with it.
Gosh, I hope you're wrong! My heart will never survive 50 more seasons like this one. Plus I would be as old as Noah by then! Lol

No im saying CALM DOWN MAN!. This isnt going to be the last time we are let down. There is a reason we cant get big name head coaches here. Let him have his 4 and then a serious discussion will be had on whether we need a new coach or not.proud2breb wrote:What does that mean? We are ole miss, so we're just gonna be mediocre? I'm good with 4, but no BS one year contract extension after this year, win or lose the Liberty Bowl.AtlantaRebels wrote:No im saying CALM DOWN MAN!. I really think the problem is our uniforms. We are too old school. Thats the reason for our last two losses. Missouri and State are light years ahead of us in uniforms. That has given them the edge.
Saban Almighty went 6-6 in his first year at Alabama....7-6 overall record after a narrow 30-24 win over Colorado in the Independence Bowl. He also lost to Louisiana-Monroe that year..in Tuscaloosa! Of course, his 2nd year Alabama went 12-2 and has never looked back. I dont think Alabama was quite in the shape we were when Freeze came in.. not saying that as an excuse but.... just saying
I don't think anyone here is asking for 12-2. But, I'd be lying if I said I'm fine with 7-5 when we should be 8-4 at worst and possibly 9-3 or 10-2CMB wrote:Saban Almighty went 6-6 in his first year at Alabama....7-6 overall record after a narrow 30-24 win over Colorado in the Independence Bowl.
