Looks like our depth will be difference. As Tech's players foul out, we should finally pull ahead and win if final OT. Don't know what scenario we could lose to the 9th place team in the BIG 12 anyway, but it sure has been too close for comfort. Nice technical by AK to keep Tech alive.

TT is a good young team that had their misfortunes at the end of the season, while we had ours closer to the middle (SEC schedule). MSU had as talented a team as us, with senior leadership and Doonesbury coaching them...and now they get to watch us play in NY. We could have been a sweet 16 team...but we could have gone down to a talented Memphis or TT team.

Exciting game but it did resemble a train wreck at times for both teams. I do know this..... if we are going to succeed beyond the AK Invitational (NIT) in the future we need a disciplined solid point guard because Chris Warren is the exact opposite of that. How many possessions last night did he just take four dribbles after he crossed half court and just jack up a wild three pointer...or carelessly turnover the ball with a 4 point lead in OT. He is the personification of our program..very talented but ridiculously out of control...

but good to see us continue our recent dominance over Big 12 teams in all sports...

The good prospect about New York is that most of the teams remaining are fellow underachievers and if Dayton beats Illinois and Carolina gets to the finals we may get through the whole thing without playing a team that we aren't supposed to beat (a 2 or 1 seed)...
