Listening to Doug Gottlieb(sp?) on ESPN radio. The discussion was whether the the "play-in" games should be for the 12 seed (or similar seed). A caller suggested if that is how they do it, then the losers of the 4 play-ins should automatically become the #1 seeds in the NIT. I like this idea personally, problem is the NCAA rules say that once a team loses in a post-season tourney, season over (tweak the rule to allow this exception). What is the board's opinon?

Burn the NIT?

If your not one of the top 96, or whatever. You shouldn't really care anymore.

In all honesty I think that an increasing problem with college basketball is that many of us do not care anymore. To be honest if Ole Miss weren't on the jersey I am not sure I would even keep up with college basketball any more. Part of that is Kennedy and his team, but most of that is the degeneration of the sport overall into an NBA developmental league at the "prestigious" schools and an NBA "wannabe" league at many of the other schools.

I think the brand is losing some of its appeal.
