Ole Miss gets the win in the first game of the weekend 7-6. We hit the ball really well, although missed some big opportunities leaving the bases loaded twice. Woodman gunned down 2 runners at the plate to preserve the win.

LSU has lost 4 of their last 5. Let's make it 5 out of 6. Rain a possibility tonight, though.
HUGE series win over LSU at a rain soaked Swayze today.JB Woodman was an absolute monster all weekend. Had 2 HRs today and 3 on the weekend. Ole Miss has now won 10 of its last 13 SEC games, and is solidly in the hosting conversation.
Woodman was awesome both sides of the ball. Fitting he caught the last onerebelbear wrote:HUGE series win over LSU at a rain soaked Swayze today.JB Woodman was an absolute monster all weekend. OM now 33-12, 12-9 in the SEC. RPI of 6, SOS of 6. No way we aren't in the hosting discussion now. 11 games left, 9 in the SEC. Series against Georgia and Kentucky are very winnable. Who knows? The series at A & M could be for the West title. Don't look now, but we still have a shot at a national seed and even winning the West. Our hitting has picked back up just when we needed it. Pitching continues to be solid. Oh, and BTW, "Go to Hell, LSU!"
Great series win. I thought a sweep going in was possible(or maybe just hoping for one) but then again, LSU is very tough to sweep so can't be too greedy. Thought we played good all weekend. Lange is their best pitcher and just couldn't get it put all the way together and kind of shot ourselves in the foot with pitching a couple of innings on Friday. Oh well, sitting in a good position right now, just have to keep winning.
Already mentioned, but Woodman has taken his game to the next level this year. Doesn't matter the situation, I feel confident when he's up to bat. And never seen so many on the money throws from a NCAA outfielder. Gonna miss him next year!(I think Olinek will step up in a J.B. Type role in the future)
