What about Freeze coming on staff now that there is room?

It's not insane to suggest that the Rebels have the best defensive line in college football.

Hughes has already left town but it is a shame that two of our best recruiters were not retained due to a lack of space and now Lee jets on us and all.USCrebel wrote:I think he did some burning of his own.mpzreb17 wrote:no way. im sure when they trunked him they burned the bridges.
He must not have burned that bridge after all....USCrebel wrote:I think he did some burning of his own.mpzreb17 wrote:no way. im sure when they trunked him they burned the bridges.

That coaching fraternity is really a fascinating thing... BTW, I read where Carroll is being courted by Blank.USCrebel wrote:Things get more interesting.rebeloke wrote:He must not have burned that bridge after all....USCrebel wrote: I think he did some burning of his own.

my question about the possibility of Freeze is his experience/ability as a QB coach, since that is the only position coach spot not filled currently. That has to be taken into account.

Does Spurrier need an OC? We have a good offensive minded coach, so why fill waste a spot on the coaching staff when another position coach could be brought in. A good recruiter like freeze would fit in great with the already excellent recruiters we have now. Unless they have moved Atlanta, it is still in Georgia and there is no beach nearby... can't imagine PC leaving the west coast. If he ever does leave for the NFL it is most likely to be SF, SD, or a new franchise in LA.rebeloke wrote:That coaching fraternity is really a fascinating thing... I think it is funny that Larry Coker is being mentioned as a possibility...I don't want him.
Wasn't nut a qb? I do not know if he could be a qb coach but it is a thought.olemsdave76 wrote:my question about the possibility of Freeze is his experience/ability as a QB coach, since that is the only position coach spot not filled currently. That has to be taken into account.
Heck, find out where Stewart Patridge is, hire him and let him teach 'em about toughness and coolness under pressure...
I still think that one of the coolest things I have ever heard is when Patridge was leading that game winning drive against State and time was tight and so much pressure was on his shoulders and he went to the sidelines during a timeout and said "this is fun isn't it coach"...

or Luke for that matter... that boy was as tough as boot leather.Rebchuck18 wrote:Heck, find out where Stewart Patridge is, hire him and let him teach 'em about toughness and coolness under pressure...
