So far our offense has given us no reason to believe that we should waste the relievers in this game. Are you watching this game oxfordrebel or listening?

Listening. I agree. You have to believe the Hogs are working all their offense in this one. Save the relievers for the next game. I think we'll take the second game today so let's save who we can for that.

Overbeck makes it a game again as he launches a GRAND SLAM!!! Just one out.

Hogs 8

Morgan comes on in relief to start the 6th. Suddenly we're in a new situation where we could afford to burn a reliever or two.

Here's where Bianco earns his money. Do we try to win this one or not? Are our boys fired up enough now? Did they pull Pomeranz before the end of the inning? The whole thing sounds pretty interesting now... 8O

You know, listening to all these Hogs complaining to the umpires...well...it reminds me of someone else:

Jake Morgan shows the rest of the pitchers how it's done. 1-2-3 go the Hogs in the 6th.

Smalling gets his 3rd homer in the game. This time a 2 run shot. Rebels are quickly letting this one go.

7th inning stretch:

Rebels 5
Hogs 10

Rather than tagging the injured Overbeck in the baseline to end the inning, the Ark player threw to 1st and threw it away! Two Rebels touch home. Who was the hitter? Logan Williams, the Arkansas native freshman for the Rebels. Williams is the new DH after Kight and Kindred both struck out every time they saw the plate hitting in that spot.

After 7 complete:

Rebels 7
Arkansas 10

1-2-3 go the Hogs in the 8th. Rebs need more offense!

If they'll quit pitching to Smalling it's conceivable to win this one. At some point descretion over valour has to kick in...
