The LSU radio guys pointed out several times yesterday that LSU was sharing the championship with Ole Miss as well. They also (quickly) pointed out that they would be the 1 seed, but the championship is indeed shared.jrebel87 wrote:From what I can tell, If you tie for the sec championship then you receive a trophy. My sentiment exactly. Seeding in the Baseball tourney matters little, IMHO. Most years, there is very little difference in 1-8 in SEC baseball, maybe a pitcher here or a couple of hitters there, but for the most part the teams are seperated by very little. Looking at the records this year, one could argue that LSU, OM, and FLA are head and shoulders better than the other 5, but we all know any of the 5 could beat us (or LSU or FLA) if we don't come to play.oxfordrebel wrote:In football I'd be upset about sharing a championship but not getting to go to ATL (like in 2003), but in baseball the only difference is being the #1 seed vs being the #3 seed in the SEC Tourney.
